SUBMM ASTROPHYSICS WORKSHOP

20-21 December 2004
Instrument Center for Danish Astrophysics, IDA, organized a workshop on submm astrophysics in Copenhagen Dec 20-21 2004. 38 people where gathered for two days at Astronomical Observatory, Niels Bohr Institute.

The idea of the workshop was twofold:
1) Gather the "young Danes" working in submm astrophysics for presenting their work to, and discuss with, astrophysicists in Denmark interested in submm astrophysics.

2) Discuss the directions and priorities of Danish submm astrophysics, in particular how to seize existing and up-coming submm facilities (Spitzer, ALMA, SCUBA, Planck, JWST,...).

Currently only a few people are working with submm astrophysics in Denmark. The underlying agenda of the workshop was to focus on this important area and discuss how to gear up so we can take advantage of the new opportunities offered.
